Good Afternoon BMSS Families!

This is Principal Gunes with your weekly updates and announcements. It is that time again Winter Holiday is upon us with all the excitement it brings. I know you all are busy with gift shopping for friends and family near and far and making travel plans. Let me take this opportunity to thank you all for your flexibility and support this year. The new year will bring new experiences, new challenges, and new fun. We look forward to what lies ahead for us as a school. I know it will be hard, but try to forget about school (especially your principal) for a while and get rest and come back with full of energy!!! I wish you peace, joy, hope, and happiness during this Holiday season and throughout the New Year.

• This week is BMSS Holiday Spirit Week. Thank you in advance for your child’s participation!
Tuesday: Wear your best Holiday socks
Wednesday: Wear your Holiday colors
Thursday: Wear your hat/head piece
Friday: Wear your Holiday PJ’s

 

• Online students who are lacking adequate progress will be receiving a notification letter by the end of this week as a new requirement under the Florida Department of Education Emergency Order (DOE Order No. 2020-EO-07, s. II. g. and h.), issued on November 30, 2020. The notification letter basically summarizes the academic progress of those students and encourage them to chose on campus learning.

 

• We partnered up with Children’s Home Society located in Fort Lauderdale and asking our families fill a shoe box with gifts, label it for boy or girl and drop it in the front office. We will collect them from December 7th through 16th. We appreciate your participation!

 

• We plan to create a page on our website called “Businesses in BMSS Family” which will advertise your very own business. This will allow BMSS family members to help each other while taking take care of their own need. Please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. • There will be no school during the weeks of December 21st and 28th due to Winter Break. Students will return on Monday, January 4th.
