Science Olympiad Achievement

2019 Science Olympiad

We are proud to announce that our Science Olympiad Team has earned the eligibility to go to The Science Olympiad State Tournament for the first time since it was founded in 2014! After the regional director realized that they made a mistake on one of our events (Boomilever got 3rd place!)placement, our medal number increased to 10, which also raised our team placement to 6th place among the 20 teams we competed against. Since the top 6 teams are eligible to go to state, we too are going to the state competition to represent our school and, most possibly, the whole southeast since it looks like we are the ONLY charter school that goes to state tournament from the entire southeast!

The state competition will be held at the University of CentralFlorida on March 30th, in Orlando, and we are all excited to compete against almost 60 teams there from all parts of the state of Florida.

1-Marissa and Paulna got bronze medals on the “Anatomy and Physiology” event at the Florida Atlantic University Regional Science Olympiad Competition with the guidance of their coach, Mrs. Sare!

2018 Science Olympiad

Congratulations and thank you very much for having been a part of our Science Olympiad team! Not only it has been a fun, academic, and challenging journey for all of us, but Science Olympiad has also provided us with great opportunities for our students, teachers, administrators and parents to socialize and build strong relationships together. Out of the nine events that we participated in, we were able to get six medals, which is almost unheard of for such as diverse team that had this much limited time and resources. This can only be explained by the amount of effort and support you have put in the success of our students and the team. While I worked at much bigger schools in the past and involved in science Olympiad at all levels, involvement of the parents in the students' education has never been close to the level you guys have demonstrated during our competition. Therefore, our parents should definitely consider themselves one of the main reasons of our team's success last weekend.

Congratulations to Daniel and Zackery on winning the gold medal (1st) on the "Herpetology"
Congratulations to Julio and Camron on winning the silver medal (2nd) on the "Tower"
Congratulations to Julio and Camron on winning the silver medal (2nd) on the "Battery Buggy"
Congratulations to Julio and Camron on winning the bronze medal (4th) on the "Optics"
Congratulations to Alexa and Gabrielle on winning the bronze medal (4th) on the "Disease Detectives"
Congratulations to Paulna and Gabrielle on winning the bronze medal (6th) on the "Write it Do it"
