Hispanic Heritage Night

2017 Hispanic Heritage Night

Hispanic Heritage Night was a great family night where everyone came together. We had great performances from Mrs. Rios dance club and Mrs. Walker dance and drama club. We shared culture, talent, artistry and food. It was a memorable night.

Hispanic Heritage Night/ Noche de la Herencia Hispana

On Thursday October 13th, we had the opportunity of celebrating our Hispanic Heritage Night. We had a fantastic night celebrated by our students and their families. Families were invited to enjoy a great dinner catered by Pollo Tropical.
In addition to this dinner our students from various clubs made performances. The performance showcase included our students dressing up and imitating famous Hispanic singers, a salsa dance with music from the famous Cuban singer Celia Cruz. And a very cute song that was performed by our K, 1 and 2 grades, “Los Pollitos dicen”.
We also had the opportunity of seeing the projects that our students work so hard to showcase, by researching information of different Latin American countries and the Caribbean.
What a night we had! We hope that everyone enjoy that special family night with our students, celebrating all of our Hispanic culture.

2015 Hispanic Heritage Night

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we held our first Hispanic Heritage Night on October 8th. We started the night off with a special poem recited by our Spanish Club, followed by our Music & Dance Club who sang and performed "Vivir la Vida" by Marc Anthony and then parents joined us to dance "Macarena". We ate delicious Spanish Food and desserts. We ended the program with students presenting their projects about Mayans, Incas, and Spanish countries.

A special thank you to all the teachers, staff, and parent volunteers who helped us with the program and to all the parents who came and supported our school.
