Hispanic Heritage Month

Students and Families gathered for an event to remember! Hispanic Heritage Celebration was on October 17th from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. BMSS' Drama Club put on several performances. Bianca Lopez from 5th grade sang and danced to the tunes of a Selena song. Pollo Tropical Restaurant catered this year's event with their Latin spices and influence. Plates were served by staff and all proceeds went to BMSS student activities!

GeoBee Florida State Competition Semifinalist

The results are in! The National Geographic Society named Daniel Macedo, an eighth grader at Broward Math and Science Schools, as one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2020 National Geographic GeoBee State Competition. The contest will be held at Jacksonville University on Friday, March 27, 2020.

Thanksgiving Family Night

Thanksgiving Family Night: Gobble, Gobble! Our BMSS Family of students and Staff gathered for our Annual Thanksgiving Family Night! Our celebration was held on November 15th from 5 to 6 p.m. BMSS had a catered feast from Boston Market Restaurant with all the trimmings! Turkey, Chicken, Macaroni and more! Student artwork was displayed and music played as we all gathered in the cafeteria for a grand meal!

Welcome picnic

Welcome picnic

Our BMSS Welcome Picnic was held Saturday, September 7th from 11:00 a.m to 2 p.m. Families came together and enjoyed some fun in the sun! Staff Members grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers for families. Students brought side dishes and desserts-potluck style! Students and families jumped in bounce houses and participated in getting their faces painted and in eating clouds of cotton candy! We also gathered canned goods and supplies for the Bahamas Hurricane Relief Charity!
