April 18, 2022 Newsletter

Greetings, BMSS Families

As we approach the end of the year, keep in mind that this is one of the busiest times of the year. Keep an eye on your email and Class Dojo for all the fun and exciting end-of-year activities and events. Also, please assist us in keeping your children well rested and focused on school as testing season is here. We may be nearing the end of the year, but we still have a lot of work to do!

To have a great school it takes an outstanding staff, informed and involved parents sharing the responsibility of their child’s learning, and a community celebrating the accomplishments of the school.

On behalf of BMSS’ faculty and staff, thank you for your continued support of our students and the work all of us do for them. It is truly the community, parents, and staff partnering and working together that allows us to be successful! As always, if you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact a teacher, an assistant principal, or me directly. We are here to work together to provide the best possible education for your child. I hope everyone is enjoying the season. Below are this week’s announcements.

BMSS is in process of implementing PTA committee after a while. There is going to be a meeting on April 20th at 3PM. Let front office or Ms. Schultz, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., know if you would like to participate.

Students arriving after 8AM on their test days will have to take the test on a make up date. It is important for students to take the test with their class since it will help with motivation.

BMSS STEM Day was so much fun. Thanks to all students and teachers participated. Special thanks go to;

Ms. Schultz and Ms. Valdivia (being in charge), Coach Matthews (Scavenger Hunt), Ms. V (Lemon Lab), Mr. Galante (Coding), Mr. Oduwole (Bill Nye the Science Guy), Ms. Valdivia (Tower Challenge), Ms. Cooper (Math Competition- FIsh Bowl), Margate Engineering Department (Bridges), Nova Southeastern University (Our Brain)

Please mark your calendars Monday, May 23rd @5.30 for BMSS International Festival. If you would like to volunteer, donate or make sure your country is represented, please contact the front office. Also, let us know if you know of any professional dance groups that can represent any country. Here is the flyer.

I would like to leave you with the quote on honesty below:

“I admire honesty more than any other trait.” Jerry Reinsdorf

Dolphins persevere, respect, and take ownership.

Have a wonderful week, Dolphins!

Warm Regards,
